XL Report: Private Armies

As the Iraqi government threatens to expel all foreign mercenaries following the Blackwater shootout, the role of private military contractors is once again in the spotlight. There’s no denying that the rise of the private military contractor is transforming the way we wage war. They earn four times more than regular soldiers, act with impunity and – in Iraq – outnumber all non-US soldiers combined. Private Armies follows the training and deployment of these men. From skidding around a race track, practicing escaping from kidnappers, to dodging bullets in Baghdad, its an eye-opening look at life as a private soldier.

theres got to be more then just 20thousand in iraq i say between 80-100 thousand contractors reason being is that

YOU said American justice in American courts by American companies. When you said American, but really meant British and we’re the fools. You over generalize and then try to self correct. A Russian PMC in Iraq is Zashita and another is Storch. There are others. Try knowing what you are talking about. Google is a great resource.

There is no difference between the American mercenaries and british. Both are robbing Iraq. Now try to name even one such company from Russia. And, incidentally, British companies are unlikely to be brought to justice in GB. Too much money and power behind them

ArmorGroup and Sandline are English. Actually Sandline is incorporated in the Bahamas but was started in England. Most people they hire are British. Watch who you call silly fool and ridiculous. British companies don’t answer to American courts. They can be hired and fired just like any other PSD company from SA, Russia, America…

what major government have these mercenaries overthrown? what unwanteds have they assassinated? quit talking like your giving a speech in a michael bay movie and just make sense. nvm, anyone who’d thank an imaginary figure that a radical dictatorship has nuclear weapons- is a complete loon.

  • nukeman74

Only shooting passers-by? Funny.Control over resources and the removal of unwanted – these are goals and objectives of mercenaries.Unpunishable, is not recorded, is always ready for dirty bucks to overthrow the legitimate government of a country without nuclear weapons. Thank God, North Korea has the bomb!

i’m sure military contractors gunning down random pedestrians in iraq counts as some global james bondish conspiracy by the US government. lol, i bet you wear tin foil hats too. i’ll make sure to watch out for scaramanga and his boogeymen.

No fucking hyperboles. American mercenaries of transnational corporations and Uncle Sam kill people around the world, ensures the smooth development of the resources of the occupied countries. DynCorp, Custer Battles, ArmorGroup,Sandline,Blakwater are not under the jurisdiction of local courts, only to the U.S. Court. I am so ridiculous? No, silly fools, not seeing the obvious

  • koncanehero

i’m so self? what does that mean?

i’ll laugh at your words because they are absolutely ridiculous, you’re taking your hyperboles way too seriously. if you actually understand what you’re writing you’d see what a nutjob you look like right now.

  • nukeman74

you fags are so self. When you put in a cage, do not forget to laugh at my words

The Gurkhas earn 15 time less than Brits yet are still tied to the Crown – why is this? Are they lesser men? Certainly not! The Gurkhas are amongst Britains most loyal subjects – a fearsome people indeed! I was so glad that they FINALLY got the right to settle (shame on the govt – Marxists who will let anyone in the World live here EXCEPT loyal citizens); I’d certainly rather have Gurkhas over arabs and blacks any day of the week!

These contracters are simple mercenaries however – not good.

The US has many bases there, and a billion dollar US Embassy that employs one thousand. The US isn’t leaving. BTW private armies kill innocent civilians aka Blackwater.

  • Flankymanga

This is undeniable evidence that US invaded Iraq for money. Not for terrorism. US Army is planning to retreat from Iraq, firs only from cities than from whole country, but CIA and Americans as a whole don’t want to leave. The thing with the US Army is just a public turn, they won’t truly leave and presence of these private armies are proof of this strategy. Private armies are there because US companies are there. They need protection.
